About Ellie Fund
Since 1995, Ellie Fund has provided non-medical essential services – including grocery gift cards, healthy prepared meals, transportation to appointments, childcare, housekeeping, and integrative therapies – to breast cancer patients, so they can focus on what matters most: spending time with their families and healing. Every breast cancer patient in active treatment in Massachusetts is eligible.
Mission Statement
Ellie Fund’s mission is to ease the stresses of everyday life for breast cancer patients in Massachusetts, allowing the focus to be on family, recovery, and healing.Through monthly non-medical services including grocery assistance, nutritious meals, transportation to and from medical appointments, childcare, and integrative therapies, Ellie Fund’s unique model reduces patient stress, promotes access to consistent treatment, and improves the likelihood of positive health outcomes.

- 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
- Each year, 7,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in Massachusetts.
- Nationally, Black women under age 65 with breast cancer have a 78% higher death rate compared to White women, despite similar screening rates.
Ellie Fund is on track to serve 2,000 patients in 2024 - Ellie Fund provides each curative patient with two services for three months and metastatic patients with two services for six months.
- Ellie Fund provides services such as grocery gift cards, meal delivery, gas cards, and reimbursements for other transportation modes, childcare, housekeeping, and integrative therapy services such as oncology massage and acupuncture.
- For more than 25 years, its mission has been to reduce financial toxicity and stress for breast cancer patients in Massachusetts, enabling those in treatment to focus on survival, healing, and family.
- Serves patients in all counties of Massachusetts
Only eligibility requirements are to be in active treatment for breast cancer and live or receive treatment in Massachusetts
